How to Watch Aurora Teagarden on DVD

If you are a fan of the Aurora Teagarden movies, or just want to watch the ones on DVD, then you have come to the right place. We will help you understand how the series works so that you can easily watch them in order.

Based on the books by Charlaine Harris, these films feature Candace Cameron Bure as Aurora Teagarden. She plays a small-town librarian who is obsessed with analyzing true crime.

A Bone to Pick

A Bone to Pick is a movie about Aurora Teagarden (Candace Cameron Bure), a librarian who has a knack for murder. She is known around her small town as a master sleuth and she is always on the hunt for an interesting mystery.

When a member of her disbanded crime study club dies, Aurora is bequeathed a house and a not-so-small fortune. When she discovers a skull hiding in a window seat of her new home, Roe sets out to solve the mystery of whom it belonged to and how it ended up there.

The phrase "bone to pick" has many meanings, but it usually refers to something that needs discussion and resolution. It is a popular idiom that dates back to the 1500s. It is derived from the way dogs chew their meat off of bones.

Oftentimes, it is an unpleasant issue that must be resolved before it gets out of hand. Sometimes it can also be a good thing to have a bone to pick with someone.

A Bone to Pick is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys murder mysteries. Fans of Charlaine Harris, the author of the Sookie Stackhouse books, will certainly enjoy this film. The cast is also very impressive, with Marilou Henner, Jeremy Guilbaut and Dylan Sloane all starring in this well-crafted production. If you are looking for a nice flick to watch in the quiet hours, this is the movie to choose.

Real Murders

Aurora Teagarden is a small-town librarian who loves crime books. She’s also a member of a local murder-mystery discussion group called the Real Murders Society. The club meets monthly and consists of true-crime buffs who discuss a famous murder case from history.

But when the newest member of the group is found bludgeoned in a staged crime scene that mimics the one they were supposed to discuss that night, it sets off a chain of events that Aurora can’t help but get involved in. As members of the club are murdered in similar copycats of the crimes they’re discussing, Aurora must work quickly to determine who among her fellow sleuths is the killer.

The tense and suspenseful film is directed by Martin Wood and produced by Jamie Goehring. It stars Candace Cameron Bure, Marilu Henner, Lexa Doig, Bruce Dawson and Peter Benson. It’s available to stream on Peacock Premium and fuboTV. It can also be bought or downloaded on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play Movies and Vudu.

Dead Over Heels

Aurora Teagarden (Candace Cameron Bure) is happy in her new home and with her mega-mogul boyfriend Martin Bartell. She's even been able to spend more time with her friends and neighbors, including her devoted housewife Angel and her mother Aida (Karen Kruper).

But the happiness is short-lived when a body drops from a plane onto her lawn. Aurora is thrown into a death investigation that quickly casts her as the prime suspect. She must find the killer before he strikes again.

As if that wasn't enough, Aurora finds out that her friend and mystery author Robin Daniels (Niall Matter) is involved in a murder that takes place on the set of a movie featuring Aurora herself. She's also tasked with finding out who's behind the disappearance of her cousin Phillip and his roommate.

In addition to all the usual suspects, we've got Aurora's long-lost niece Regina (Marilu Henner) showing up with a baby. This is just a small part of the plot, but it does lead to some of the more angst-filled scenes in the movie.

This is another rollicking, romantic Southern mystery that's just plain fun to watch. It's not quite as complex or thought-provoking as some of the other Aurora Teagarden movies, but it has all the elements to keep you guessing and entertained. So if you're looking for a good movie to watch with your family, this is one that you might want to check out.

A Bundle of Trouble

Aurora Teagarden, a Lawrenceton librarian and avid mystery fan, can't seem to escape murder. When she agrees to host her boyfriend Martin's long-lost niece and her newborn baby, she's not aware that a dead man has been found on her porch and the baby has gone missing.

She sets out to uncover the truth, but soon realizes that she has much to learn from this case. The story isn't as exciting as some of the others in the Aurora Teagarden series, but it's a decent mystery and worth watching.

The acting is average, but the plot has plenty of red herrings and much to speculate about. There are also some good characters in the show, but this one suffers from the usual Aurora Teagarden problems of overly simplistic dialog, curious facial expressions, and inexplicable animosities.

Despite all that, there's still a lot to like about this film, especially the relationship between Aurora and Martin. They are both interesting characters, and it's easy to root for them in their quest to solve a mystery that's causing so much trouble in Lawrenceton.

However, it all goes down the drain when they hide a witness who was on the premises where the murder took place and then get him shot later on. They also make a few false starts in trying to figure this out, which is just not the way to do it.

A Very Foul Play

A Very Foul Play is the latest in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ long-running Aurora Teagarden series. In this film, the cast of regulars gets the chance to travel to an out-of-town mystery aficionado convention and put on a stage production of a fun murder mystery.

The story itself is a bit of a letdown, but the cast does a great job of making this one of the most engaging entries in the Teagarden franchise. It was also the first time the Teagardens have taken part in a mystery that doesn’t take place in their home town of Lawrenceton, Virginia.

As a fan of the series, I was excited to see where the story would go next. I was pleased to find that it wasn’t quite as trite as the previous films in the franchise, and it actually had a few surprises up its sleeve!

In the end, I was left with a few things to remember about the story and what it meant to me. The first was that this was a well-executed and enjoyable mystery, one that didn’t feel too predictable or overwrought.

The story also had a few other things to get me interested in the series, including a good dose of humor and a great performance from Candace Cameron Bure. A Very Foul Play is definitely a worthy addition to the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries lineup!

Last Scene Alive

In Last Scene Alive, crime buffs Aurora Teagarden and her fellow members of the Real Murders Club meet monthly to discuss famous murder cases. It’s a harmless pastime until one of them is killed by an attacker in a way that mimics the crime they were discussing. As other brutal “copycat” killings follow, Aurora must uncover who is behind this vicious game of chance.

Lawrenceton, Georgia is a small town with its fair share of crime and drama. But when a Hollywood film crew descends on the town to film a movie based on an author’s book about Aurora Teagarden, things get a little too interesting for her. Her ex-boyfriend, bestselling mystery writer Robin Daniels, is back in town to promote his latest work.

As if getting involved with a movie production wasn’t enough, Roe also has to deal with her stepson, Barrett (Joey King), and an actress who is starring in the film. She gets even more nervous when she discovers that the film’s screenwriter, Taylor (Farrah Aviva), has a history of stalking and is depressed over losing her son.

When Celia Shaw, the actress who is playing Aurora in the movie, is found murdered in her trailer, the cast and crew of the film are suspects. The police have a hard time figuring out who was responsible for the murder. Meanwhile, Aurora’s mother Aida (Marilu Henner) starts to develop feelings for the director of the film.
