How to Watch Barry Season 3

Emmy-winning Barry is back for its third season, and the dark comedy has already taken home three awards this year. Bill Hader stars as Barry Berkman, a hitman turned aspiring actor who tries to leave his past behind for a new life onstage.

But untangling his contract killing from his new passion for theater is harder and messier than he expected. Meanwhile, his former handler Monroe Fuches (Stephen Root) has fully turned against him.

Barry, an Emmy-winning dark comedy starring Bill Hader as a former Marine turned contract killer, is one of the most popular shows of its kind. The series first premiered in 2018 and quickly became a critical hit, generating a passionate fan base. It also won six Emmys in its first two seasons, including Outstanding Lead Actor for Hader and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Henry Winkler.

The show centers on Barry (Hader), a depressed Midwestern hit man who is sent to Los Angeles for a job. He ends up following his "mark" into an acting class and finds himself in an accepting community of eager hopefuls within the LA theater scene. But his criminal past won't let him leave contract killing behind - can he find a way to balance both worlds?

When the second season of Barry began airing, it was clear that Barry had grown a lot. His relationship with his acting coach Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler) was starting to bloom, and he was finally able to break free from his depressed past and begin a new life as an actor. He even started dating Sally (Sarah Goldberg), a fellow actor in the class who is also aspiring to become a star.

But things start to go awry when Barry's mentor Fuches (Stephen Root) and NoHo Hank (Anthony Carrigan), the head of the Chechen mob, both try to pull him into their schemes. Hank wants Barry to train his crew and help them remove a threat to their relationship with the Bolivian mob leader. And while Hank thinks he's getting close to Barry, Fuches isn't satisfied with the results.

Hank then tries to kill Barry, but he manages to distract him enough that he doesn't get the drop on him. But when Hank asks for Barry's help in removing a new threat to his gang, Hank isn't happy about the idea.

After Hank tries to kill Barry again, Barry decides to take action. He goes into a rage and attacks a Buddhist temple, killing Hank and nearly everyone else in the room save for Fuches, who escapes.
