How to Watch Batman: Crisis on Infinite Earths

Crisis on Infinite Earths is DC's latest TV crossover that brings together heroes from different eras of the DC Universe. It also draws in characters from DC's movies and video games.

Unfortunately, it's difficult to watch the special on Netflix abroad due to geo-restrictions. However, you can easily watch it if you download a VPN.

Part 1

Crisis on Infinite Earths is the biggest crossover event in the DC Universe so far, bringing together all of the heroes from Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Black Lightning. It’s a massive event that sees the Antimonitor threatening the multiverse and requiring all of the heroes to come together in order to defeat him.

The first part of the crossover aired on Supergirl last week, and it was a hugely entertaining and emotional episode that left us wanting more. The second part of the crossover aired on Batwoman this evening, and while it didn’t live up to its first part in the same way, it was still an enjoyable watch.

After visiting Earth-99 with this Earth’s Bruce Wayne (Kevin Conroy), Kara visits an old manor that she finds haunted by the cynicism of an older Batman. She asks him about who he is and he tells her that he’s the Paragon of Hope. Kate, meanwhile, is in the middle of a major personal crisis and doesn’t seem to mind the presence of this old, spooky figure.

In addition to these two Earths, the crossover also takes them to Smallville, where Clark Kent is chopping wood. Lois interrupts and tells Clark that Lex Luthor is on his way to kill him, but this version of Clark isn’t too concerned about it.

While the whole crossover isn’t essential to get into, if you’re a fan of these DC TV shows and want to take advantage of all of the fun cameos, it’s worth checking out. You can find it on Now TV in the UK, and it’s also available on Binge, which is a great option if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on subscription services.

Part 2

If you’re new to the DC Arrowverse, it can be a bit tricky to navigate its five-part crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths. Each of the series aired one episode during its normal season runs, making it difficult to watch in chronological order.

Batwoman’s Part 2 of Crisis on Infinite Earths was a much smoother affair than the first hour of the crossover, which was full of action and emotion but felt over-stuffed. Thankfully, Part 2 managed to get all the important beats in place and it was a delightful episode that worked hard to pay tribute to several different corners of the DC universe with some great cameos.

The main premise of the episode was simple: the heroes must find seven Paragons, people who can save the multiverse. This meant that each team of heroes could focus on a particular part of the story and not feel like they were all over the place.

For instance, while the first Paragon search team headed to Earth-99 to track down a “Bat of the Future,” Kate decided to spend some time with an old Bruce Wayne. She got to know him better and it made her laugh when he said he had lost track of the number of people he’d killed.

When she told him that she was the Paragon of Courage, he laughed and asked her why she thought she’d succeed where he failed. She explained that she had always believed she’d become a hero, but then it happened and she lost her chance.

She tells her that she’s going to try her best to be a hero again. She also gives her a photo from Bruce’s collection of Earth-99 Kate and Earth-99 Beth, which makes her laugh. It’s a pretty adorable moment, and a wonderful tribute to the comic book version of Kate Kane.

Part 3

The Arrowverse's big crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths came out of the gate last month, with a five-part special airing as episodes of Supergirl and Batwoman. The first episode aired on Dec. 8, and the rest rolled out a week later as episodes of Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.

One of the big drawcards of this epic event is the sheer number of DC heroes that make appearances. The crossover has gathered a huge range of the Arrowverse's superheroes, including The Flash, John Constantine, and Black Lightning.

Part 2 of the crossover saw Kate trying to become a Paragon while battling an Anti-Monitor. Her goal was to use the Book of Destiny to bring back a destroyed Earth. But the Monitor said it would be dangerous, and Mar Novu warned it would only make the Anti-Monitor stronger.

Meanwhile, Harbinger sends a new Earth version of Bruce Wayne to Kate and asks her to join their fight against the Monitor. Kate is worried she won't be able to handle the responsibility, but it turns out Bruce is a much different person than the one who disappeared from her life in the first episode of the show.

As she tries to explain the situation, Kate gets help from the other Paragons. The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) tells them that there are seven people with unique powers who can save the multiverse from destruction. He says the heroes must find each of them and unite to fight the Anti-Monitor.

In the midst of the action, Kara is talking to one of the other heroes and asks him about his connection to Earth-38. She thinks he might be a Paragon. Then, Lex shows up with the Monitor.

Part 4

The CW's Arrowverse got the chance to join forces in the crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths. Inspired by a Marv Wolfman comic, the event brought together the heroes from Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow to stop the Monitor from reshaping the multiverse.

Part 1 of the crossover aired on Supergirl in March and introduced the concept of the multiverse, which has been a big part of both the CW's and DC Comics' comic universes since the 1980s. The episode featured Green Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Sara Lance, Batwoman, and Ray Palmer as they fought to stop the Monitor from reshaping reality.

While the episode was a success on that front, it felt a little over-stuffed at times. Thankfully, Part 2 of the crossover was just as rambunctious and filled with cameos, but it managed to find balance and flow.

After losing Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Kate finds herself in a depressed state, but it's not long before she turns her anger on Bruce Wayne. She throws him into a generator and punches him in the face, which leaves him paralyzed and unable to move.

Despite Kate's desperation, she still has hope that they can get to Oliver before he dies. However, she's not sure she'll ever be able to forgive the man who killed her father, Superman.

She's still not ready to give up on her love for Barry Allen, though. When she and Sara pour a drink for Oliver in the S.T.A.R. Labs lounge, she says that she doesn't think he's ready to say goodbye just yet, and that they'll wait for him.

It's worth noting that the aforementioned scene was edited out of the final episode of the crossover. It's unclear if that was because Kate didn't want to keep Rose's legacy alive or because she's now no longer a part of the franchise, but it's an awkward move that will make it difficult for her fans to remember her as Batwoman.

Part 5

The CW's five-part Crisis on Infinite Earths is one of the biggest and most epic DC TV crossovers yet. It brings together the entire cast of The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Black Lightning for a cosmic battle with an Antimonitor that threatens to destroy the multiverse.

The first episode of Crisis on Infinite Earths airs on Supergirl season 5, episode 9 titled 'Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 1' and sees Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and her friends on Earth 38 in the midst of an impending wave of anti-matter that has already destroyed Earth 89 (Tim Burton's Batman), Earth 66 (Adam West's Batman), and Earth 9 (Titans). If the heroes fail, the world will be wiped out.

As the event draws to a close, the Monitor appears in S.T.A.R. Labs and informs Kara that even Lex Luthor has a role to play. Apparently, he was killed before the start of the crisis and resurrected by the Monitor to help Kara in her quest to stop the Antimonitor from destroying all the universes.

Batwoman also makes a cameo, and it's pretty exciting to see Kate Kane making her Arrowverse debut in the upcoming Season 1. However, the first episode of the series has been edited out of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

This is an unfortunate move, and we're sure Rose will be irked to hear it, but it doesn't look like it will change the way her story is told on the show. It's possible that the edit was to make the scene more palatable for those who may have seen it for the first time, but that doesn't mean it's an entirely wrong decision.
