Parents should know that this movie has a lot of adolescent jokes and some profanity. It also has some sexual references.

This movie follows a trio of guys that form a baseball team in order to challenge the bullies who pick on their fellow neighborhood nerds. When they win their first game, the billionaire tells them they can join a tournament to compete against all the mean spirited little league teams in the state. The winners will be given a chance to play in his new multimillion-dollar baseball park.

The Benchwarmers are made up of Gus (Rob Schneider), Clark (David Spade), and Richie (Jon Heder). They all have different skills, and they form a successful team. However, Gus’s behavior while he was growing up has been discovered and he has to face his past.

In order to overcome his feelings of guilt, Gus enlists the help of his friends Brad and Karl (Craig Kilborn and Tim Meadows) in tracking down the bullies. They uncover that Jerry, the head coach of Nelson’s team, is the main bully that Gus and Clark experienced while they were kids.

During their last game, the Benchwarmers win against Nelson’s team and give them a taste of their own medicine. During the game, they use their baseball bats to bash a letter box while driving down the street and also stamp really hard on Gus’s hand, causing him pain.

Although the comic violence is harmless and might seem appropriate for older children, it’s important to discuss with preschoolers that it could hurt them if they over-expose themselves to it. After winning the championship, the benchwarmers find themselves in need of a little bit of redemption. They’re approached by a former childhood bully who offers to coach them in a tournament. But Gus, Clark, and Richie aren’t ready for this.
