How to Watch Bruce Almighty Online

Bruce Almighty is a comedy that aims to show God in a positive light. But it also shows that God can't answer every prayer, and that sometimes people need to use their own powers for things like getting a job or making a woman have an orgasm.

Despite these limitations, Bruce takes advantage of his new power and uses it to improve his career and impress his girlfriend Grace. He even gets revenge on a street gang that bullied him earlier.

God

When a down-on-his-luck television reporter lashes out at God for the unfairness of his life, the Almighty responds by giving him divine powers. Despite these powers, Bruce can't seem to find any meaning in his life.

As a result, he becomes frustrated and unfulfilled. He spends his days toiling in the field as a "human interest" television reporter, but feels that he's not being given the opportunity to express his talents. Ultimately, an angry outburst on the air leads to his dismissal from his job.

He later meets with God (Morgan Freeman), who offers him the chance to try out his divine powers for one week. As long as he doesn't tell anyone, Bruce can use his power for whatever he wants. He uses his newfound powers for cheap thrills and petty revenge, such as making a woman's dress rise up on the street or having a monkey come out of the rear end of a gang member who previously abused him.

However, as Bruce's powers begin to grow, he begins to feel a responsibility to his family and girlfriend. He starts to answer his prayers more earnestly, and he decides to give Grace's job back to Evan.

While it is a comedy with some loftier themes, Bruce almighty is still very much a Jim Carrey movie. It features hammy physical humor, profanity and sexual content.

In addition to Carrey, the film also stars Jennifer Aniston as Bruce's girlfriend, Grace Connelly. It was directed by Tom Shadyac, who previously collaborated with Carrey on Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Liar Liar.

Parents need to know that while the film does have some underlying spiritual themes, it's still very much a Jim Carrey comedy. It's not a highbrow movie, and it does have some religious cheesiness, but it is very well made within its very limited intent and provides almost continuous laughs to Carrey fans.

Watching Bruce almighty online is easy, but it is important to note that most of these streaming services are geo-restricted and only work in your home country. In order to watch this movie from abroad, you need to use a VPN.

Bruce

A down-on-his-luck television reporter is given the golden opportunity to try out the powers of God. In this 2003 Jim Carrey movie, the Big Guy endows Bruce with the aforementioned "mimos" for a week long trial run of the universes biggest and best gizmo.

The end result is a week of cheap thrills, with Bruce parting red soup, making cars move out of the way in traffic jams and outwitting petty street thugs. However, the film's most enduring message is that it is not enough to be happy without understanding the responsibility that goes with being a good human being.

In the end, a rekindled relationship with Bruce's girlfriend (Jennifer Aniston) is the big win. It's a credit to director Tom Shadyac and screenwriter Steve Koren that it all comes together in a way that is genuinely heartwarming, fun and memorable. It's also a testament to the talent of the film's two stars, Carrey and Freeman.

If you can't wait for your local theater to screen this awe-inspiring piece of entertainment, it's easy to find the Bruce Almighty movie online. There are plenty of options to choose from, including the streaming services PlayPilot and Netflix. The aforementioned Bruce almighty has also made its way to cable and satellite, where it can still be seen in high definition.

Grace

Grace and Bruce have been together for quite a while. She stayed by Bruce's side even when his life seemed to be going down the drain and he wanted nothing more than to leave her.

When Bruce gets his powers, he's very excited about everything that he can do with them. He frolics through Buffalo, bursting a fire hydrant and lifting up a woman's dress with wind; he mouths gibberish that makes Evan say it; he gives Grace spontaneous orgasms whenever he says "pleasure" to her and he also divinely pleasures her without ever touching her.

It's really hard to watch Bruce abused his powers; he's selfish, entitled and abuses any privilege that comes his way. He sexually assaults a woman by flipping her dress up, frames a rival news team, causes several disasters and attempts to override Grace's free will when she breaks up with him.

He's just a big, brash mess. The only time that you have to be a little wary of him is when he gets into a fight with a group of thugs and beats up a homeless man. He's probably the closest thing to an antagonist in this movie, but he doesn't stay around long and is easily dispatched.

Ultimately, God is very understanding and allows him to take back his powers once he realizes that they were meant for good. He teaches him to be a better person and he helps him see that he's not responsible for everything in his life.

One of the things that Bruce tries to do when he gets his powers is create a romantic atmosphere for Grace, which he does by pulling in the moon. But when he does, he accidentally causes a tsunami in Japan.

Another thing that happens when he gets his powers is that he starts to have feelings for other women. He's attracted to Susan, who works for him, and he kisses her without Grace's consent. Then, he's attracted to a new co-worker and kisses her without Grace's consent as well.

All of these things are very unsavory and make you wonder what kind of person Bruce really is. But then, in the end, you have to remember that his powers are only temporary and he ends up learning how to be a better person after he loses them.

Evan

Bruce (Jim Carrey) is a discontented TV reporter who believes the universe is stacked against him. He angrily ridicules God, and the Almighty responds by endowing him with all of His divine powers.

After a series of misfortunes, Bruce begins to blame God and asks for his powers back. But before he can use them, God reminds him that he has to obey him and not interfere with others' free will.

When Bruce's power is finally turned on, he tries to use it for cheap thrills and petty payback. For example, he parts red soup in two and makes a traffic jam move out of the way, then makes a woman's dress rise up on the street.

The movie's hammy physical humor, profanity and sexual content are pretty much what you'd expect from a Jim Carrey comedy. But the movie does try to be more spiritually based than its predecessor, with prayers and biblical references.

Despite that, Evan Almighty is an uneven flop. There's a lot of witty, well-timed one-liners, but the jokes are often too simplistic and repetitive to keep the film interesting. It also relys too heavily on Bible verses that are too easily twisted into vague environmental lessons.

In addition, Evan's newfound wisdom about power and responsibility comes with little explanation, and his family is thrown into a tailspin as he goes from being a polished, preening newscaster to being an inarticulate, bumbling prophet. But he's a fun and likable character, and Carell is good enough to make the film entertaining for young people who want a light-hearted movie about fate, prayer and spirituality.

Evan Almighty is available on all major streaming services, including Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Video. You can rent or buy the film for $9.95. It is also available on a variety of other sites, such as Redbox and Google Play Movies. You can also watch Evan Almighty online on your desktop, mobile device, or television.
