How to Watch Elseworlds on Netflix

Last fall, the CW released an epic three-part crossover event called elseworlds. It was a game-changer for The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl.

The premise of the crossover revolved around a doctor named John Deegan who used a book from Earth 90’s The Monitor to swap Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin)’s bodies.

If you're a fan of the Arrowverse, chances are you've heard about elseworlds, the three-part crossover that brings the worlds of The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl together. It's been a while since it last aired, but all three episodes of Elseworlds are now streaming on Netflix.

Part 1 of the Elseworlds crossover aired on Sunday night, December 9th, spanning episodes of The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl. This was a great way to kick off the series for the year, with an incredibly creative Batwoman stuff, a one-take Arkham inmate brawl that made us all giddy, and of course, a fun fight between Barry and Oliver.

It was also a really good way to set up the next big crossover that's happening this fall, 'Crisis on Infinite Earths', where all of the DC heroes will team up to save the universe from an invasion by Mandrakk the Dark Monitor. It also features the return of Nora Fries and the debuts of Lois Lane and Batwoman, as well as Gotham City.

Normally, new seasons of The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl are added to Netflix about eight days after their season finales air on The CW. This is how it works for elseworlds, so we'll be looking to see if the special is added to the streaming service soon.

Part 1

The first part of the Elseworlds storyline takes place on Earth-90, where Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) and Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) bodies swapped places. It’s not like they just changed into someone who looked exactly like them, though: They had to get rid of their old identities before they could switch into their new ones.

After Barry and Oliver convince their teammates that they’ve switched lives, they go on a mission to find out who did it. They come across a guy named Deegan (Tyler Hoechlin), who claims to be Superman from the future.

But he’s actually a villain from the past, rewriting history to make himself the hero of Earth-90. He’s also the one who got Oliver and Barry into this mess in the first place.

While it’s a bit odd to have both men in this version of reality, and their relationships are a little strained, it’s still a fun ride with a lot of laughs. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to show how much the series has evolved since its last crossover, especially when it comes to the multiverse.

It’s also a chance to introduce some of the most interesting newcomers of the season, including Supergirl and Batwoman. While the character of Psycho-Pirate isn’t a new one, his role here is a bit more serious than it was in previous stories. He even has his own daughter, Mia Queen.

The second part of the Elseworlds storyline follows Barry and Oliver on a mission to reclaim the Book of Speed, which is missing from Earth-90. The two teams are joined by their teammate, Kara (Melissa Benoist) and her cousin, Clark Kent.

Part 2

The three-part Elseworlds crossover event began on December 9 with The Flash and concluded on December 11 with Supergirl. Each episode aired on the CW. They also aired on Sky One in the UK. If you live in the US, you can watch them on CW's app, but you'll want to make sure that you're watching them on the right channel and at the correct time.

Fans who have a Netflix account can stream Elseworlds through the streaming service. There are some restrictions, though, so if you have a subscription to the CW, you'll need to check it first.

Another way to watch Elseworlds is through the CW app, but that requires an iOS or Android device. If you have a Sky subscription, you can also watch Elseworlds on NOW TV. However, NOW TV doesn't offer the entire series of each episode.

Otherworld is a 30,000 square foot world that was designed by Jordan Renda, who had a career in haunted houses and escape rooms before starting Otherworld. It's colorful and intriguing, but it's not as scary as you might expect. There's no map to guide you through, but it's still an experience that will leave you feeling like you never know what's around the next corner.

Part 3

As part of The CW's annual DC superhero crossover events, the worlds of Arrow, Supergirl, and The Flash collide. This year's Elseworlds event is especially exciting, as it introduces Ruby Rose to the Arrowverse as Batwoman and reunites Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).

The three-part crossover aired over three consecutive nights in the US last month and is set to wrap up on The Flash and Supergirl tonight on The CW. It is available to watch on the CW app in the United States but fans abroad will have to wait until it is released onto Sky's NOW TV service.
