How to Watch Insidious in Order

The Insidious horror movie series has a loyal following, and it's been terrifying audiences since 2010. After the success of the first movie, three more movies have been released.

It's important to watch them in order, as this will give you the best experience. However, if you're new to the franchise, it is possible to watch them out of order without spoiling anything for yourself.

The First Movie

The first movie in the Insidious series tells the story of a family who move into a new home only to find that the house is haunted. It also tells the story of a psychic and paranormal investigator named Elise Rainer (Lin Shaye) who is hired by the Lambert family to help them with their case.

The film stars Patrick Wilson, who is well known for his role in the main movies in The Conjuring franchise. It is an eerie horror flick that is often compared to the classic Poltergeist. It is a great addition to the horror genre and it will have you scared until the very end.

Insidious is a supernatural thriller starring Patrick Wilson, Lin Shaye and Rose Byrne that is directed by James Wan. It was released in 2010 and is based around a couple who have moved into a home where they find that their son has fallen into a comatose state. After trying to revive their son, they call in paranormal investigator Elise Rainer who discovers that a demon is haunting the house and it will stop at nothing to get to them.

It was a major hit upon release and the film has gone on to become one of the biggest horror hits of all time. It is still a popular movie today and has been remade in several countries.

Chapter 2 is the sequel to Insidious and it picks up a few months after the events of the first movie. It also tells the story of Elise Rainer who is sent back into the same house she worked in as a child to solve a case of a family who have had their lives haunted by a nefarious spirit.

Despite having to deal with the same ghostly threat, Elise has to overcome her own fears to save her family. However, it is not easy as she is surrounded by the Bride in Black who wants to kill her.

She does manage to kill the nefarious spirit but her death is not the end of things as there is another demon waiting to claim her body. It is this demon that takes over and forces her to astral project herself again into the further, which she has to do in order to regain control of her body.

The Second Movie

If you’re planning on watching all four movies in the Insidious franchise, it’s best to watch them in order. The first movie, which stars Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne as the Lamberts, centers on a family that is plagued with evil spirits from an evil spiritual realm known as “The Further.” It also introduced us to some of the most terrifying monsters in the genre, including “The Man Who Can’t Breathe” and the mysterious creature in the basement.

Insidious: Chapter 2 follows on from the end of the first movie, starring the entire Lambert family as they move into Josh’s mother’s house in an attempt to protect their children from the demons. While they are there, Renai begins to see things she can’t explain and the entire house starts to seem to be haunted by a woman in white.

While this film doesn’t quite measure up to the original, it is still a good watch and one that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The directing is excellent, and the story is interesting and entertaining.

The acting is decent and I liked the chemistry between the characters. There were some genuine shocks and scares, but there were a few moments where the film got too bogged down in exposition or tried to be too serious.

There are also some very tense scenes that will keep you on the edge of your chair. The camera moves smoothly around the houses, using natural obstacles such as doors and walls to create prickly suspense.

James Wan continues to develop his touch for truly scary horror. Like his film The Conjuring, he doesn’t rely on visual gibberish or cheap exposition, and instead, uses three-dimensional space to generate prickly suspense.

However, there are some problems with Insidious: Chapter 2. For starters, the film suffers from a confused screenplay and crudely staged scenes. While these aren’t as bad as the ones in the first Insidious, they’re still not very effective and do more harm than good.

Despite these issues, Insidious: Chapter 2 is a solid sequel that keeps the series going. It’s not as good as the first one, but it is still very frightening and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The Third Movie

The third movie in the Insidious series is the first one to feature a new cast. It also saw James Wan step down from directing duties in favor of Leigh Whannell. Despite this change, the film was still able to scare audiences as usual.

Insidious: Chapter 3 takes place a few years after the events of the first two movies and finds Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) at a point where she is no longer hunting down demons. Instead, she is focusing on helping families with supernatural problems, especially those that have been unable to make contact with their loved ones in the spirit world.

When Quinn Brenner (Stefanie Scott) starts to feel that she might be able to communicate with her dead mother, Elise tries to convince her not to do it on her own. But as she begins to “read” the teen, she realizes that there’s a demon stalking her.

As soon as this happens, she starts to get worried about her daughter’s safety. As a result, she starts to panic and even consider suicide.

At this point, she goes to see a psychic who specializes in dealing with hauntings, which leads to a few frightening scenes. But she’s soon able to find the courage to go on and help her family.

The main problem with this third film is that it lacks the creativity and imagination that made the first two Insidious films so effective. It isn’t bad by any means, but it isn’t anywhere near the level of quality that we’ve seen in previous Insidious films.

It might be the most well-rounded installment in the series so far, but it still isn’t as good as the first two. The story is a bit flat and uninteresting and the characters are pretty flat and uninteresting as well.

While it isn’t as good as the first or second Insidious, it is still a very scary movie and will leave you with plenty of nightmares. It is also a very profitable franchise which has made a lot of money at the box office.

The Fourth Movie

The Insidious series is one of the longest running supernatural horror franchises of all time. It was launched by Saw and Conjuring director James Wan, and it has been a spooky ride full of paranormal worlds and psychic visions.

The first two Insidious films focused on the Lambert family, a couple whose son was attacked by a demon during an eerie event in their house. However, the series has since turned its focus on Elise Rainier, a psychic and spiritual advisor who is able to help her clients combat the dangers that lurk within.

Insidious: The Last Key is the fourth film in the Insidious franchise and it retold the story of Elise Rainier, who grew up in a home that was haunted. She had a strong connection to this place, and she went back to investigate the property that had been recently purchased.

It was the perfect place for her to reconnect with her past and her spiritual roots. Despite the fact that her connections to the ghost world are growing stronger, it is also a place where she is being challenged by new threats.

While Insidious: The Last Key isn't the best instalment in the series, it still delivers a satisfying amount of scares and reveals some interesting plot points. In addition to Lin Shaye's performance, the movie also features some excellent cinematography that focuses on the spooky aspects of the story, making it a worthwhile watch for horror fans.

This fourth film in the Insidious series also marks a return to a prequel, which has been a popular trend in recent years with movies like Ouija: Origin of Evil and Annabelle: Creation. Unlike the more traditional sequels, these films don't feel as tied to the franchise's mythology, which gives them more room to experiment with new concepts and scary scenes.

Insidious: The Last Key is a solid addition to the franchise that brings its characters and stories full circle. While it doesn't have as many scary scenes as the previous films in the series, it delivers plenty of spooky moments and is backed by some great performances from Shaye, who continues to play the character's spiritual center. In addition to delivering the usual jump scares and scares, this movie reveals some fascinating aspects about Elise's past and how she became the expert ghost whisperer that she is today.
