How to Watch Rise of the Planet of the Apes Online

Rise of the planet of the apes is a thought provoking and emotionally driven thrill ride. Featuring stunning visual effects and creatures unlike anything ever seen before, it’s one of the summer’s best films.

This film tells the story of how a substance designed to help the brain repair itself gave advanced intelligence to a chimpanzee named Caesar. It also stars James Franco and Andy Serkis.

IMDB Ratings

When the original Planet of the Apes came out in 1968, it quickly became one of the most acclaimed sci-fi movies of all time. The series has spawned a multitude of sequels, comic books, and other merchandising.

While the new film Rise of the Planet of the Apes has some issues, it's still an enjoyable movie that kids and adults will enjoy. It's not as edgy or violent as other films of its genre, and it is less focused on sci-fi and more about relationship drama. The movie is also a good choice for families as it's an origin story that has less language and sexual content, making it a more equal opportunity film for kids of all ages.

The movie is full of action and violence, but it doesn't take itself too seriously. There's a lot of animal-human violence and there are some graphic scenes that parents might find triggering. There are also some moments of drug testing on apes that parents may not want to see.

Motion capture actor Andy Serkis, who is famous for his work in King Kong (2005) and other motion capture characters, does a remarkable job of giving Caesar, the main character of the movie, a personality and voice. He makes him look so realistic, that he could pass for a live chimp.

This is a very well done movie with good performances and some excellent effects. It is an excellent example of how a movie can be improved by using new technology, and it's hard to argue with the results.

Aside from some of the best acting of the year, the movie is full of amazing special effects. It's been a while since CGI and motion capture have reached this level of detail, and they are able to make these apes very realistic.

There are some great fight scenes that make the movie even more fun to watch. It's a shame that it's not as violent as other films in this genre, but it's still very entertaining.

The movie ends with a rather predictable and exhausting action climax, but overall it's an excellent movie that can't be beat. It's a must-see for fans of the Planet of the Apes series and those who want a solid and engaging action film.

Synopsis

Rise of the Planet of the Apes tells the story of a baby chimp who gains human-like intelligence and emotions from an experimental drug. Raised like a child by the scientist who created it, Caesar is taken away from his family and confined to a primate shelter, where he becomes resentful of the treatment he and other apes are given by their caretakers.

When Will (James Franco) develops a medication that can help his father, Charles Rodman (John Lithgow), who has Alzheimer's disease, Caesar's condition improves. He and Will become lovers, and the two live together in the same house.

Will then creates a new virus called ALZ-113 to treat his father, but Franklin is exposed to it during tests and begins sneezing blood. Will is enraged and decides to quit his job at Gen-Sys.

While researching ape language, Will finds a simian who resembles his own genetics. He names him Caesar, and he becomes a close friend of Will's.

Eventually, the simian, now named Caesar, grows to be a powerful leader of the group. He is the main organizer, agitator and revolt leader.

The film features stunning visual effects and performance capture from Weta Digital. The apes were created using a process that combines motion capture and compositing.

As the apes grow in intelligence, they start to rebel against their humans oppressors, and Caesar leads them in an uprising. Using their brute strength, they disarm policemen and then kill them with their fists or by hurling them off the Golden Gate Bridge.

One of the most popular movies in science fiction, Planet of the Apes is also a timeless classic. Its themes of racism, war, and delusions of superiority are still as relevant today as they were when the movie first came out in 1968.

It is an enjoyable film and a great prequel to the original Planet of the Apes trilogy, although it is not as epic as the earlier films. It has some good action, and the acting is a bit uneven in the beginning, but it does pick up as the movie progresses.

Trailers

In this sequel to the 2007 prequel, the human-ape relationship is at an all-time low. And it looks like the humans have no hope of saving their friends and family from the simian hordes.

A single act of compassion and arrogance leads to a war unlike any other. From the Oscar-winning visual effects team that brought to life Avatar and Lord of the Rings, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES reimagines the classic franchise with a groundbreaking new approach to creature design.

James Franco stars as a scientist who discovers that non-human primates have advanced brains that are similar to those of humans. He sets out to harness this technology in an attempt to cure Alzheimer's disease. But he's not the only one to be affected by his research.

The result is ape leader Caesar (Andy Serkis) who, in the process of overcoming his fear of humans, becomes a threat to himself and his family. It's only a matter of time before the apes begin to take control of their world.

While the film doesn't have any of the violence or language that most action/sci-fi films do, there are some scenes that could be viewed with children. Parents need to be aware that the apes do engage in animal-human violence, including shooting and poking, as well as smashing cars and throwing spears.

This is a great movie for families to watch and discuss. It's not as violent or obscene as some other sci-fi movies, and it's also more about relationships than the typical action/sci-fi flick.

It's not hard to see why the film has such a strong fan base, as it takes some of the best elements of the original Planet of the Apes and adds new ones. The plot is interesting, the performances are good and the effects look great on the Blu-ray.

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes Blu-ray includes an excellent set of featurettes, including a series of behind-the-scenes documentaries. There are some nice fly-on-the-wall interviews and some self-congratulatory talking heads, but they're overall well-done and worth checking out. The CGI primates and digital effects are impressive, and the colors and black levels are rich and vibrant.

Cast

Rise of the Planet of the Apes features a star-studded cast, including Andy Serkis as Caesar, Karin Konoval as Maurice, and Terry Notary as Rocket. The movie also stars Richard Ridings as Buck, Devyn Dalton as Cornelia, and Jay Caputo as Alpha.

The film is based on the comic book series by writer/artist Rod Serling and the original Planet of the Apes films. The story focuses on a pharmaceutical chemist (James Franco) who develops a drug that causes an ape to gain human-like intelligence. The chimp is named Caesar and raised by Will, whose father suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.

Will is determined to keep his research going and tries to raise Caesar, but the ape grows up to become a powerful force in his own right, which puts him at odds with the humans he loves. This leads to a climactic battle between the apes and the police.

Rupert Wyatt, director of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, was originally hired by 20th Century Fox to direct a new film in the series. He was subsequently asked to make the film in a more compassionate way, and worked with Weta Digital to create lifelike apes through revolutionary special effects.

Weta Digital is the same company that made Gollum for The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and they rely on motion-capture technology to capture the movements of actors who provide their physical movements for computer animation to be used as digital apes in the film. The result is lifelike apes that move like real apes.

In addition to Weta Digital, the film’s effects team includes renowned visual-effects artists from The CGI Effects Company and 3D Studio, which are also behind the special effects for the latest Star Wars movies. For Rise of the Planet of the Apes, these artists helped Weta Digital to deliver a film that uses advanced visual effects to highlight animal rights messages while putting humans in the lead role for the first time.

In the end, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a rousing epic that takes us on an adventure we never thought possible, featuring breathtaking special effects and creatures unlike anything ever seen before. It’s an exciting and action-packed journey of revolution and justice, that will leave you breathless from start to finish.
