Redbox has acquired the North American distribution rights to She Ball, a new film from director Nick Cannon. It’s set to be released simultaneously in theaters (20 total) and On Demand including Redbox on August 6, 2021. The movie features new music from Chris Brown, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Roddy Rich, Stevie Wonder and Kierra Shierd.

She Ball is the latest in a series of acquisitions by Redbox, which has also acquired The Last Son (starring Sam Worthington), Capone and Shadow in the Cloud. It’s part of the company’s “Redbox Original” slate, which is aimed at Redbox’s 40 million U.S. customers and includes a growing number of high-concept action and thriller films. She Ball is available to rent from Redbox and other digital retailers, including Amazon Video, Google Play Movies, YouTube, Vudu and Microsoft Store. The film will also be available on Starz.
