How to Watch Tehran in English on Netflix

Tehran is the capital of Iran and one of the largest cities in the world. It is the hub of the country's railway network and has many large museums, palace complexes, and cultural centers.

The city is home to many ethnicities including Persians, Armenians, Azeris, Kurds, Greeks, and Turks. Its population is mostly young.

Apple TV+

If you’re looking for a new way to watch TV shows, then Apple’s streaming service is worth checking out. It offers a plethora of original content that is proving to be a hit with audiences and critics alike.

One of its standout hits is a series called Tehran, which tells the story of a Mossad agent who goes undercover in Iran to destroy a nuclear reactor that could be used by Iran against Israel. It’s an incredibly fast-paced espionage thriller that should appeal to fans of Homeland and The Americans.

The show’s first season was a hit with both viewers and critics, even winning an International Emmy Award. The second season has now been released, with Academy Award nominee Glenn Close starring in the role of a Mossad agent.

In the show, Tamar (Niv Sultan) goes undercover in Iran to destroy a reactor that could be used by Iran against Israel. Her mission doesn’t go as planned, though, and she finds herself trapped in a dangerous situation that she has to fight to survive.

Its Israeli cast is a mix of actors from the Mossad agency, and it features lots of dialogue in Farsi, Hebrew and English. While the show launched without an established Hollywood star attached, it’s been a hit all over the world, with fans of Homeland and The Americans calling it “amazing” and “brilliant.”

As you might expect from a show that is about espionage, there are many details and plot twists to keep your attention. The action is paced and fast, and you’ll want to be on the edge of your seat every time Tamar is involved in an operation.

But don’t worry if you find the dialogue a little too hard to follow; Tehran’s subtitles are easy to understand and offer lots of helpful information about what’s happening on screen. Plus, you can customize the look of your subtitles to make them as appealing as possible.

To enable or disable subtitles on your Apple TV+, just open the Apple TV+ app and select a video or TV show you’re watching. Alternatively, you can access the language options through a universal settings screen on your device.

Kan 11

KAN 11 is a state-owned television channel that belongs to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. It was founded in 2017 and is one of six terrestrial TV channels in the country, alongside Keshet 12 and Reshet 13. The channel boasts an impressive line up of original programming. Its most notable achievement has been the development of the Kan 11 smartphone app which allows users to watch live and on demand streaming content on their mobile devices.

If you’re looking for the best way to stream your favourite Israeli programs, shows or films while on the go, there are several VPNs that could fit the bill. For the best value, you should opt for a quality service that offers unlimited bandwidth and a no hassle 45 day money back guarantee.

Netflix

With around 150 million users worldwide, Netflix is the world’s largest streaming service. While the company’s official support list is more than 20 languages, many users speak a different language and would prefer to watch in their preferred language.

If you want to change your default language on Netflix, you can easily do so from the app or the web browser. The process is simple and works on both Android and iOS devices as well as Smart TVs.

To switch to your preferred language, simply log in to your account on a computer or mobile browser and select your preferred audio from the Language dropdown menu. The changes will automatically save on your device or computer.

Then, head over to the show or movie you’d like to watch. While it’s playing, hover over the screen and click the dialogue icon that looks like a dialogue box.

From there, you’ll be able to choose your preferred subtitle and audio settings. Once you’ve made these changes, press OK and you’re set!

However, if you’re having trouble getting subtitles on a Roku or other older device, you may have to use a VPN. VPNs such as ExpressVPN allow you to connect to servers in your home country to get access to your Netflix library.

Alternatively, you can use the Tor browser to access Netflix from a country with a blocked content stream. This is a good solution, but it’s not ideal because it’s unreliable and slow. If you’re looking for a more reliable solution, you should try a paid VPN provider instead.

A free VPN is also available, but it’s not recommended. Unlike paid VPNs, free services aren’t profitable enough to support the infrastructure required to deliver full access to your favorite Netflix content.

In the case of Tehran, you’ll need to use a VPN to watch this espionage thriller in English. This isn’t the easiest thing to do, but it’s a worthwhile endeavor.

Amazon Prime

If you’re looking for an espionage thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, check out Tehran. This Israeli series has drawn comparisons to US spy shows like Homeland and 24 (available on Netflix), but it’s much more than a clone.

The plot follows an attractive Israeli operative who switches identities, kicks asses and grapples with her Persian roots while working for Mossad. It’s a bit like the espionage drama Fauda, which is also available on Amazon Prime, and it’s got all the twists and turns you could want.

Tamar Rabinyan, a computer hacker and agent for Mossad, infiltrates Iran under a false identity to disable the nuclear reactor. However, her mission goes wrong when she’s spotted by her boss, Zhila Gorbanifar, and she must change her tactics.

She finds herself caught up in a dangerous operation that puts her and those closest to her in even more danger. She also has to figure out a way to stay one step ahead of Faraz Kamali, the head of Iranian investigations.

Thankfully, she has an ally in Marjan Montazeri (Glenn Close), who’s coming to help her out. She’s confident that she can trust her, but that may not be enough to protect herself from a double-agent.

The series’ first season drew positive comparisons to both Homeland and 24, but the end was truly heartbreaking, with Tamar’s ally Milad (Shervin Alenabi) being shot down as they fled Iran in their escape car. With a new ally, we’re hoping that the Tehran team can finally get things right this time around.

As a bonus, season 2 will feature some major plot twists and reveals. As well as revealing the identity of her double-agent Yael (Kylie Rogers), it will see Tamar and Milad reunited, and they’ll both have to decide whether they can trust each other again.

If you’re struggling to watch Tehran, it’s worth considering a virtual private network (VPN). You’ll be able to stream the show on virtually any device without getting geo-fenced restrictions. VPNs like ExpressVPN are easy to use and deliver fast internet speeds, making them the best option for watching tehran on any device.
