Jared Franek will also be looking to defend his title at 157 pounds, while Michael Caliendo (165), DJ Parker (184) and Owen Pentz (197) are all in the hunt for a finals spot. All three Bison are 2-2 on the day, and each will have a chance to secure a finals spot on Monday.

This year’s Scuffle is sure to be a high-octane affair with starters from six ranked teams. The defending champions did not disappoint, posting 181 points and claiming a slew of individual titles. Aside from a bevy of top tier matchups, the team was led by three of the most talented individual performers in the land o’ the golden gate. The biggest takeaway from Monday was a plethora of impressive finishes by several underclassmen. Among them, Daton Fix and Dustin Plott each claimed an individual title. The best part is that the duo will likely have their careers on the same wrestling floor come fall.
