How to Watch TVision on Your TV

The TVision app has a familiar layout that’s easy to navigate. It has a home screen that shows featured content, and you can browse through channels by network, show or movie. It’s also easy to create multiple profiles so that you can prevent others from seeing what you’re watching.
In addition to the app, T-Mobile has released a $50 Android TV dongle that has TVision pre-installed and includes a remote control that uses Google Assistant for voice commands. The device also supports over 8,000 apps and has programmable Guide and DVR buttons for jumping into your favorite TV applications.
TVision isn’t without its issues, though. The $10/month Vibe plan is limited to two streams and doesn’t come with DVR, Live TV packages are missing some big channels that other similar services offer for free, and TVision only works in one household at a time.
With that said, TVision has more than enough channels to compete with YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling’s Orange + Blue plan, and the 100 hours of cloud DVR is a big plus. But that’s not to say there’s no room for improvement.
TVision is only available for T-Mobile postpaid customers, but it’s worth checking out if you’re looking for a new way to stream live TV without paying for cable. It’s a solid alternative to other streaming services, but there are better options out there for less money.
TVision Hub
T-Mobile has a new streaming device, the TVision Hub, that lets you watch live and recorded TV content. It’s a $50 dongle that hangs from the HDMI port of your television and runs Google TV software. It supports 4K HDR video, though it’s not compatible with Roku devices at launch.
The TVision Hub is an Android-powered media streamer that supports Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu. It also includes Google Assistant and shortcuts on the home screen to access live and recorded content.

But it also has some nagging limitations that prevent it from being an ideal option for everyone.
In this day and age, there are a ton of options for streaming TV. YouTube TV, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, Philo and more are all good ways to get the most out of your live TV experience without paying for cable. But TVision doesn’t offer as many channels as YouTube TV or Sling, and it doesn’t have the same level of experience overall.
The TVision DVR lets you record shows and movies in the cloud, so you can pause, rewind and fast forward them. Some DVRs will automatically delete old recordings, while others allow you to set a limit for how long you want them stored.
While TVision’s DVR isn’t as good as TiVo’s or other cloud-based services, it’s still a decent way to catch up on a show that you missed. However, TVision’s DVR only allows for up to three simultaneous streams and there aren’t a lot of other options when it comes to recording live content.
TVision’s Guide page works similar to other live TV streaming services, displaying local and national channels alongside program listings. It also has a search icon that lets you find what you’re looking for by title or channel number.
You can use the TVision DVR to save recordings of your favorite shows and movies, and it lets you save them for up to nine months. You can pause or rewind recorded shows, as well as fast forward through ad breaks.
TVision Vibe is T-Mobile’s cheaper entry into the live TV streaming landscape, and it’s a solid alternative to YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling’s Orange + Blue plan. While it doesn’t have as many channels as YouTube TV or Sling, its $10/month Vibe plan gives you access to a lot of major networks. Plus, it comes with 100 hours of cloud DVR storage, which is more than YouTube TV’s one-month trial or Sling’s 50-hour trial.
