This may make the show feel more like a Stephen King novel than a mainstream mystery drama. But the characters in Outer Range are interesting enough to keep the series moving forward without dragging its pace.

In fact, the characters in Outer Range are so off-kilter that they're sometimes hilarious. The show's chemistry between Brolin and Pelphrey is uncanny, and their relationship has the potential to be one of the most memorable on TV.

The rest of the cast is great, as well. They're all incredibly talented and each brings their own unique style to the show. Noah Reid, who plays Billy Tillerson, is best known for his role as Patrick on Schitt's Creek, but he has some impressive moments here.

Another character on the show is Deputy Sheriff Joy Hawk (Tamara Podemski). She's the first gay Native American woman to run for sheriff in the state of Wyoming and she's running against a man with a dark secret.

Outer Range is an interesting mix of a traditional Western and sci-fi, making it a good fit for fans of both genres. It's also a great show to watch with a friend, as it offers plenty of twists and turns.
