1. Watch the Trailer

If you are in the mood for a deranged and darkly comedic horror flick, Ready or Not is the one to watch. It boasts a couple of well assembled jump scares, a plethora of gore and a gratifying absence of morality or sermonising.

Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, this movie is a clever spin on the classic slasher thriller. It may not quite have the same impact as some of the genre’s more popular titles, but it will get your blood pumping and leave you scratching your head in disbelief.

A young bride is forced to join her new in-laws on a bloody wedding night in this smartly executed film. Its main claim to fame is the aforementioned trifecta of goriest-looking deaths, but the real thrill comes from watching Grace (Samara Weaving) take on her new family in an epic battle to the death.

The movie also gets points for its many awe-inspiring technical and cinematic feats. From a dazzling array of effects to a star-studded cast, there is a lot to enjoy in this movie. The trailer above is a good start, but you’ll have to get out of the house and see it for yourself to discover what the fuss is all about. The movie is currently available to stream on fuboTV, DIRECTV, and Amazon Video. It is best viewed on a big screen. The film is a must-see for fans of intelligent slashers and ghoulish gizmos alike. It may be the best slasher movie you’ll see all year, and it’s a winner in the horror department.

Ready or Not is a dark comedy horror film that skewers America's rich and famous, stuffed with bloody splatters of gore, smart laughs and sharp social satire at the expense of their good fortune. Directed by two-thirds of the team behind V/H/S and radio silence, it's an inspired mashup of a couple of polar-opposite genres that manages to cram in incisive social commentary, deliciously gory thrills and terrific gags.

It's not easy to make a self-styled comedy-horror that's going to please both the casual date-night cinemagoer and the horror maven with a bloodlust, but that's exactly what Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett have done. And they succeed, with a ferocious cast led by a blistering turn from Samara Weaving (niece of Hugo), who turns Grace into a scrappy, sarcastic protagonist with a sharp sense of humor and an innate capacity for violence.

The story of Grace, who is about to get married to Alex, and the ensuing chaos of their wedding day - in which she stuffs the cake with razor blades and bombs the chapel - is an irreverent romp through the bizarre moral codes of American family life, with an array of hilarious and horrifying characters, all of whom are well-played by a stellar supporting cast. Among the most memorable are Alex's alcoholic and dowry-hunting brother Daniel, played by Adam Brody; his wife Charity (Emily MacDowell), who chain-smokes and yells at her husband in a way that suggests she's possessed; and the wry Aunt Helene, played by Nicky Guadagni, who generates one of Ready Or Not's finest running jokes.

At times, Ready or Not can be quite slow-paced as you move through the hallways, surrounded by wounded civilians and hostiles that are constantly shooting at you, but you'll never feel bored with the game because there are several different game modes to enjoy, including the option to play with bots or other players online. Moreover, the gunfights can be quick and intense, with only a few shots killing both enemies and players at a time.

You'll also be able to choose from several swat members, each with their own unique set of skills and weapons. You'll need to work together as a squad to overcome hostage and terrorist situations and clear rooms of hostiles, while collecting evidence and securing dead and injured friendlies along the way.

The first few levels aren't much more than a series of rat runs through the city, with a few harrowing moments, before the game ramps up and delivers a series of chaotic gunfights that are both fast-paced and highly tense. In the end, Ready or Not proves to be a game that's more intellectual and realistic than some of its predecessors, which makes it an experience that will be appreciated by fans of the genre. It's also a game that will be a hit for its great graphics and addictive gameplay.

3. Watch the Movie

Ready or Not is a thriller with an engaging cast that combines comedy and horror in a way that's never been done before. The film follows a bride's wedding night as she gets involved in a sadistic game with her eccentric new in-laws, causing everyone to battle for their lives.

This is a horror that knows its strengths, so it has tons of gore and an excellent central performance from Samara Weaving. The movie also contains some very funny moments and a couple of well-assembled jump scares that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The movie is one of the best films we've seen in a while, so make sure you check it out!

Parents need to know that Ready or Not is a horror movie with very graphic violence. Characters are killed in a number of ways, including being bludgeoned or shot. They also die with spurting, pooling blood and gurgling in agony. There are also many comic deaths that involve small children.

The main character in this movie is a young woman who joins her husband's family on their fancy estate. She soon learns that they have a very evil and dangerous game for her to play, which will lead to death for everyone involved.

This is a good movie for families to watch together, especially those who are looking for a film with intense violence and a lot of laughs. However, it can be difficult for some kids to deal with the violence since it is so graphic. It is important for parents to discuss this with their kids and explain what the movie is trying to say.
