Founded in 1908 on the campus of Howard University, Alpha Kappa Alpha is one of the oldest and most prominent Black Greek letter organizations in America. To help celebrate the aforementioned 113-year journey, Xfinity is pleased to announce that Twenty Pearls will be the first original film on its new Black Experience branded platform. In 1908, nine Black women enrolled at Howard University made a decision that changed the course of history. They formed the first Black college sisterhood and founded Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Now 113 years later, the AKAs are still making an impact on the world at large.

In Twenty Pearls, award-winning documentary filmmaker Deborah Riley Draper takes viewers on a journey into the lives of these trailblazers who were creating change at a critical moment in American history.
