Cast changes

After We Fell is a movie about a star-crossed couple. It's also a slow-burning romance that lacks meat on its bones. The story is based on a series of books by Anna Todd, the author of the popular Harry Styles fanfiction.
It's hard to tell if the filmmakers made the movie for fans of the series or for a new audience. There's plenty of sex, but it's all done in a way that doesn't look like actual sex. Instead, it's done with expressionless faces.
There's no central plot to speak of. In fact, it's a series of petty jealousies and family dramas that eat up the film. Some of these are good, but the rest are a bit too cliche.
However, the movie does have a few interesting ideas. One involves young adults not relying on their parents. Another is the tangled web of Hardin's mother's infidelity.
