How to Watch Lollapalooza on Hulu

If you’re planning on attending Lollapalooza this weekend but can’t afford to pay for a four-day pass, you can still catch some of the music acts at home. Thanks to Hulu, you can watch the event livestream online.

The festival is scheduled to take place July 28-31 in Chicago’s Grant Park. You can watch select performances on two different channels for free with a standard or No Adds plan on Hulu.

If you love music and can't afford to travel to Lollapalooza this year, don't worry: you can watch the festival live online for free. In fact, Hulu will be the official live streaming partner of Lollapalooza this year.

The four-day music event will take place in Chicago's Grant Park from Thursday, July 28 through Sunday, July 31. This year's lineup includes headliners Metallica, j-hope, Machine Gun Kelly, Porno for Pyros, and Lil Baby.

You can catch a set from each of these performers on Hulu's official Lollapalooza stream. Specifically, you'll be able to watch the opening day of the festival on Thursday and two separate channels of live stream content on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Getting started is easy: All you have to do is sign up for a free trial of Hulu's streaming service. Once you've got the subscription, you'll be able to enjoy all of this year's action from your computer or tablet, as well as watch live streams of behind-the-scenes footage.

In addition to highlighting the headliners, the Lollapalooza live stream will also feature performances from some of this year's biggest names in music. You'll be able to stream sets from Green Day, Big Sean, Dashboard Confessional, and J-Hope.

Thursday

Lollapalooza is back this week in Chicago’s Grant Park, and you can watch all of the live streaming performances from your home computer if you don’t have a ticket to the festival. Hulu will offer two live streams of the Lollapalooza performances — one on Thursday and another between Friday and Sunday. You’ll need a Hulu base plan subscription to access the livestreams, but if you’re not a subscriber, it’s possible to sign up for a free trial.

In addition to headlining performances from Metallica, j-hope and Machine Gun Kelly, there are also loads of other music acts you can watch. From Tove Lo and The Wombats to IDLES, Denzel Curry and Wallows, there are plenty of options.

On Thursday, you can catch headliners Metallica and j-hope (11:15 PM ET) and Tinashe (3:30 PM ET) on Channel 1. You’ll be able to watch Machine Gun Kelly and The Wombats on Channel 2 at 10PM ET, as well as a performance from Canadian electronic duo Bob Moses at 4:45PM ET.

The music streamer also announced earlier this year that it would be the official live streaming partner of Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits, so it’s a great option for fans of the three festivals who want to watch them in the comfort of their own homes.

In addition to the headliners, fans can also tune in to several other sets, including IDLES, Dashboard Confessional, Porno for Pyros and Wallows. The list of acts is incredibly long and includes nearly 170 performers.

The festival takes place in Chicago’s Grant Park, but Hulu is broadcasting the event across two channels on its platform. Coverage starts on Thursday and runs through Sunday.
