After years away from the CIA, Elizabeth McCord is pulled back into the political world and plunges into international crises and political intrigue. She's tough, fair and smart driving international diplomacy, wrangling office politics and circumventing protocol to negotiate global and domestic issues.
When a journalist leaks state documents endangering the life of a CIA agent, Elizabeth must devise a plan to save him. Meanwhile, warring rebel groups threaten her Somalian food relief efforts and kidnap an American aide; Henry is blindsided when taken off the VFF doomsday cult case; and Alison and Stevie await their college acceptance letters.
There's a new batch of Netflix shows dropping this weekend, and one of them is the popular political drama Madam Secretary. The Barbara Hall-created series follows a tough, fair, smart and effective secretary of state who balances her world politics with her family life.
Tea Leoni stars as McCord, a former CIA analyst and college professor who becomes the Secretary of State. She's a smart and fair foreign affairs leader who wrangles office politics, circumvents protocol and navigates global crises with unwavering skill.
The cast is rounded out with Tim Daly, Bebe Neuwirth, Zeljko Ivanek, Erich Bergen and Patina Miller. They all turn in excellent performances.
Season 3 of Madam Secretary is now available on Netflix. The six-season series has been broadcast on CBS since 2014, but now it's streaming on the platform.
On the show, McCord has to deal with a range of issues that include her son's suicide, a warring rebel group, a global climate treaty and a nefarious religious cult. She also has to navigate her husband's job, her own responsibilities as mother of four and her husband's relationship with the Dalai Lama.
In addition, she has to deal with her boss's new National Security Advisor, John Bolton. He's been pushing for a war with North Korea.
Considering McCord's White House ambitions, it's not surprising that she would have concerns about her role as the president's foreign policy adviser. If the show decides to tackle real-life stories, we'd love to see McCord dealing with former Attorney General Jeff Sessions' investigation into Julian Assange's activities in the U.S.
And while it was interesting to hear Grant's fictional manuscript based on real-life scandals, the most bizarre storyline was the B-plot that featured McCord reading about Joe Biden coming “wildly close” to running against Hillary Clinton. While it seemed a bit like a joke, the B-plot actually set up some plot points that we could expect to see in the show next year.
If you're looking for a good TV series with a strong female lead, Madam Secretary is a great choice. It's not a show that focuses on politics per se, but it does a great job of shining a light on the sometimes-unsettling world of political office.
If you love Madam Secretary and want to watch it again, you'll be happy to know that season 3 is coming to Hulu soon! The third season of the show will be available for streaming on October 6th.
The show stars Tea Leoni as Elizabeth McCord, a woman who is not only determined but also shrewd in her career as a US secretary of state. Her journey to becoming the Madam President of the United States is a fascinating one, and it's hard not to root for her.
It's not often that you get to watch a TV show about a woman who works in the White House, so this series is definitely worth checking out! It also has a lot of fresh takes on the topic of gender politics, which can be a tricky subject to tackle.
You can watch all of the episodes from Madam Secretary on-demand on your computer, tablet, smartphone, or smart TV. You can even download them to watch offline later if you want.
Hulu is a popular streaming service that gives you access to a variety of TV shows and movies. It streams content from traditional networks and broadcast channels as well as its own original programming.
The service is primarily available in the United States and is owned by Disney. It's a great option for those who don't want to pay the high subscription fees of Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.
One of the best ways to watch TV shows is on an Amazon Prime account. It's inexpensive, easy to set up and gives you access to a huge selection of movies and TV shows. It also offers Amazon originals.
If you're a fan of the CBS show Madam Secretary, you might be interested to know that one of the series' most recent episodes is missing from Amazon Prime Video in India. Firstpost reports that the episode - titled "E Pluribus Unum" - is tagged with a "video unavailable" message and can't be played.
The show is a political romp following the life of a former CIA agent who becomes the United States' Secretary of State. It's a smart and entertaining take on the White House, focusing on Secretary McCord (Tea Leoni) as she navigates international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and tries to balance a family life.
In the show's latest incarnation, Tea Leoni has been tasked with tackling China's South China Sea reef damage and a trade visit to Vietnam that brings back memories of her time there as a young woman in the military. Meanwhile, Henry pushes the FBI to investigate a suspicious cyber-stalker and Stevie and President Dalton's son, Harrison (Jason Ralph), get engaged in the season 3 finale.
It appears that Amazon's decision to remove the most relevant episode from its Prime Video service is a big step backward for the company as a whole. It's a bit of a gimmick, to be honest, but it does mean that fans of the show have to find another way to catch up with their favorite characters. You can still watch a short teaser clip on the series' Twitter account.
If you're looking for a way to watch madam secretary season 3 without paying a monthly subscription fee, Vudu is a great option. It's an online movie and TV rental service that offers a huge library of movies and television shows, including new releases, popular titles, and older films.
The library is divided into free and paid content, and it's easy to find what you're looking for. The paid selection includes new and popular releases from major studios, plus a wide range of independent titles.
Unlike most services, Vudu allows users to rent or buy movies and TV shows without signing up for a monthly subscription. This is especially useful for people who don't have a lot of extra cash to spend on subscription fees, or simply want to build their library of content without committing to a long-term plan.
While Vudu doesn't have quite as many choices as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, or Hulu, it does offer a lot of free content that's worth checking out. It also has a large selection of HD movies and 4K content, so it's a good place to start if you're looking to build your streaming library.
Another good thing about Vudu is that it's a fairly ads-free experience, with just a few breaks between each movie. This is better than the average of three to five minutes of commercials per hour of ad-supported content on a paid Hulu subscription.
You can even transfer some of your old DVDs and Blu-ray discs to Vudu, allowing you to view them on your computer, TV, or other device. This is especially helpful if you've bought movies through other services, such as FandangoNow, iTunes, or Amazon Prime Video.
