Kong Skull Island DVD Review
Kong Skull Island is the latest stab at bringing King Kong back to the big screen. Featuring some genuinely stunning visuals and some impressively badass monsters, Kong Skull Island is a fun action movie with an important underlying critique on the Vietnam War and a great take on the iconic ape.
How to Watch

Another example is the film's climax, which showcases one of Kong's most impressive displays of strength and agility. This involves the ape's ability to swat, smash and crush every helicopter that enters his territory.
It's not surprising that Vogt-Roberts would make use of a number of B-movie and comic book influences here, but the best part is how well they all work together to deliver a grand slam of excitement. Throughout the movie, you'll find an endless array of cool ideas, many of them evoking a larger point, which will keep you entertained until the final credits roll.
For all its flaws, however, Kong Skull Island is the movie that's the best to watch while you're waiting for Godzilla to arrive in 2019. It's an entertaining and dazzling film, one that will leave you wondering how it happened.
