Season 1

The first season of the housewife and the hustler is a great start to what should be a fantastic show. The show is a satire of review shows where critic Forrest MacNeil is forced to experience everything that people ask him to review from divorce and anonymous sex to all manner of criminal activity. It's a really fun show that is deceptively simple and brilliant.

The show opens with a fantastic opening title sequence set to "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" by Wig Wam. The dancing is great, and the music gets incorporated into many of the episodes in a big way. The show also does a good job of making each character's arcs and development feel like they are real and not just one-note villains or recurring characters that we've seen before.

While the first episode does a good job of building up the characters and setting, the story feels too similar to other shows like The Ark, which also has passengers who wake up from stasis before they're supposed to and are on a mission to find a new world. It also feels a lot like the Suicide Squad, which is a shame because the show could have been so much better had it not felt so reliant on tired plot devices and made more use of its talented cast.

In addition to Forrest, the show also features A.J. Gibbs, a cheerful and expressive co-host who activates the review selection system and banters with Forrest. She also serves as the show's (often ignored) voice of reason.

Another character that is incredibly underdeveloped throughout the entire first season is Makee, which is a great shame because she was so much more than just a throwaway. She was an amazing actress that had the potential to really be the glue that held together this show.

While the premise of this show was a bit thin, it did a really great job of showing off Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi's financial struggles. It also highlighted Erika's incredibly extravagant lifestyle and showed how her husband allegedly embezzled settlement money from some of their victims.

This isn’t your typical summer game show, but it’s definitely worth watching. It’s a bit like Celebrity Family Feud and Press Your Luck. It’s entertaining and enlightening.

But the show’s main strength is its cast, which includes Bravolebrities Danielle Staub and Dana Wilkey. Both are able to shine a light on their characters’ flaws and help the audience understand the complicated legal problems they’re facing.
