Aside from the four new live streams, ESPN+ also announced plans to expand its production crew. It will add more than 210 people to its weekly crew of 85. The company will increase on-site production, including the addition of 16 cameras placed on the course. Among the enhancements will be the introduction of "featured holes" to highlight key holes of the course.
Unlike PGA Tour Live, which only offered live coverage of a handful of tournaments, the new ESPN+ package will offer live coverage of 35 events in 2022. That's a total of more than 4,300 hours of coverage, according to the company.
The new coverage plan is part of ESPN+'s nine-year domestic media rights deal with the PGA Tour. It will begin next week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis. In addition to its traditional offerings, the service will carry the PGA Tour's "Featured Hole" coverage.
The Featured Holes coverage will feature different camera angles on certain holes. Those shots will be selected by tournament-by-tournament basis.
Two other new streams will focus on two groups. One will follow three to four golfers, and the other will focus on the "marquee group," the best performing players in the tournament based on their standings.
ESPN+ also announced that it will feature the new "Featured Group" coverage, which will follow three to four golfers. However, the company did not specify whether the Marquee Group will be the same as last year's.

Talor Gooch and Chris Kirk both shot 73. They both qualified for The 150th Open at Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. Their ties for fifth and seventh place were solid.
Ernie Els was the only other player to shoot an even-par round. His 69 was the second-lowest of the week. Kevin Na is also in the cut, although he may not make it.
There are still eighteen players in the field. Only three are on the wrong side of the cut: Luke List, Patrick Reed and Justin Rose. Other notable players who may not make it include Tom Hoge, Cameron Tringale, Kevin Streelman and D.J. Trahan.
